Terms and Conditions — Our Ranges Business Directory Membership

Effective date: 06/02/2026

By purchasing or using a membership on the Our Ranges business directory you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use a membership.

1. Definitions
  • “Our Ranges”, “we”, “us” or “the Directory” means the operator of the Our Ranges business directory website.
  • “Member”, “you” or “your” means a business or individual who holds an active listing on the Directory.
  • “Applicable area” means the Yarra Ranges and Dandenong Ranges (Victoria, Australia).
  • “Membership” or “Listing” means the payment-based business directory entry provided by the Directory for a 12-month term unless otherwise stated.
2. Eligibility
  • Memberships are limited to legitimate businesses and to residents connected to the Applicable area. Examples of eligible applicants include, but are not limited to:
    • A resident of the Applicable area who operates a service business (e.g., trades, home services, professional services).
    • A resident of a suburb outside the Applicable area who operates a service business which primarily services the Applicable area.
    • A resident of a suburb outside the Applicable area who operates a shop or physical business location inside the Applicable area.

  • We reserve the right to verify eligibility and to request evidence (for example, proof of residence or business location). We may refuse or remove listings that do not meet eligibility requirements.
3. Application, Approval and Listing Content
  • All listings are subject to approval by the Directory. Approval is at our sole discretion.
  • Members must provide accurate, current and complete information for their listing and provide updated content when required.
  • You grant the Directory a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to publish and display your listing content for the duration of the listing.
4. Fees, Payments and Donations
  • Membership fees and payment options will be listed on the Directory’s sign-up page. Memberships sold as 12-month terms require full payment for the 12-month period at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • 20% of each listing fee paid to the Directory will be donated to an organisation nominated by Our Ranges. Such donations are final and non-refundable.
  • You are responsible for all taxes (if any) associated with your purchase.
5. Term, Cancellation and Refunds
  • Standard Membership term: 12 months from the date your listing becomes active (the “Billing Cycle”).
  • Refunds: There are no refunds for 12-month memberships once payment has been processed.
  • Cancellation: If you choose to cancel your membership, you may:
    • Allow the listing to remain active until the end of the current Billing Cycle, upon which the listing will be removed; or
    • Request immediate removal of your listing by contacting us at info@ourranges.com.au. Immediate removal does not entitle you to any refund.
  • We may suspend or terminate your listing at any time for breach of these Terms or for reasons including, but not limited to, ineligibility, fraudulent activity, or violation of our policies.
6. Content and Conduct
  • Members must not publish content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene or otherwise inappropriate.
  • You remain responsible for the content you submit. You warrant that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not infringe third-party rights.
  • We reserve the right to edit, refuse or remove any listing content in our sole discretion.
7. Intellectual Property
  • You retain ownership of your submitted content. By submitting content you grant the Directory the rights set out in clause 3.
  • All Directory branding, design, text and software remain the property of Our Ranges and are protected by intellectual property laws.
8. Privacy
  • Our use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By becoming a Member you consent to our collection and use of your personal information in accordance with that policy.
9. Limitation of Liability
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Directory excludes all liability for any loss, damage, cost or expense (including indirect or consequential loss) arising from or in connection with your membership, listings, transactions or the Directory’s acts or omissions.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Indemnity
  • You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Our Ranges, its officers, employees and agents from any claim, liability, loss, damage or expense arising out of your listing content, breach of these Terms, or your negligence or wilful misconduct.
11. Changes to Terms and the Service
  • We may change these Terms, our fees, or the Directory’s features at any time. Material changes will be notified to Members by email or by posting a notice on the Directory. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
  • We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Directory at any time without liability.
12. Governing Law
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria in respect of any dispute.
